How to stream audio and video from PC to PSP

The PSP or Playstation Portable is a really remarkable job. Besides being able to perform the function of the usual games, it also has music, photos, video, Internet and wireless connectivity applications. For most of you proud owners of PSP, there are three ways to get the precious gadget. Or you take the time to read the manual, take the time to explore your PSP or surf around the net for the necessary response.

Well, the first thing you notice when you format the Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick Pro Duo is that there are only folders for "game", "music", "photo" and "savedata". According to Engadget, you would need to create another folder for MPEG-4 video files on the memory stick root directory and not in the PSP. Label the new folder as MP_ROOT and create a subfolder with the name 100MNV01.

Normally, this procedure will cost you pay extra money, but Engadget showed us how to get around this little obstacle. First, you must download a 3GP converter and once finished downloading the program, right click on the file and press Extract Here. Click the new folder will appear and run the set up. A window will appear with indecipherable characters. Paid them no mind and just scroll down the window to set the English language. Then select Custom: MP4 for PSP (Direct, renamed) and press apply. And 'the second to the last option. The next step is to choose where you want your downloaded videos to be saved and what quality you want your video to appear. I recommend you choose C: 3GP_Converter \.

The next step is to choose what qualities you want your video to appear da-QVGA/15fps/216kbps / Mono 48kpbs to QVGA/29.97fps AVC / VBR QB25 Stereo / 128kpbs.

That somewhat 'intimidating? Well, these numbers are nothing to be afraid. Think in this way. FPS stands for frames per second. Between 15 fps and 29.97 fps, it produces smoother quality. But bear in mind that the better the quality, the time needed to be converted.

After deciding on what rate you want, all that remains for you to do is to drag the video of choice to the empty section of the window and wait for the program is transformed into something that will recognize your PSP. The last thing you need to do is connect your PSP to your PC via a USB cable and transfer the newly converted file.

Another way to go about this is to use the vO.5 pimp streamer. This allows you to transmit audio and video in any format from your PC to your PSP via a wireless connection. Although there are probably a dozen other ways (legal or illegal) for streaming audio and video from PC to PSP, I hope that these two works for you guys! ......
