How to develop great presentation skills - Part 2 Visualization

In Part 1 of this series, I wrote about the importance of visualization as a tool for developing great presentation skills. I also gave a brief overview of the external mental practice as well as internal mental practice.

In this article I will give detailed instructions on how to practice the external display.

Step 1

Need to relax! Sit in a comfortable position either lying down or sitting in a chair. Breathe deeply and slowly over three seconds, exhale more than three seconds. Continue doing this for a minute until they are relaxed. (Do not give up yet! Just before the 2004 Olympics in Athens, I look on TV, a Chinese gymnastics coach to get a young aspiring female athlete to go through this set of precise instructions in order to carry out 30 minutes later, a routine qualification was failing!)

Step 2

You must see! With the mind's eye, imagine you are in front of a big screen cinema. I want the screen to project a movie of yourself standing in front of an audience business offering a brilliant presentation. You are actually in the audience watching a clone of themselves to perform, just like an out of body! Now think, how you look "you" run, just like you felt before you got up to make this brilliant speech or presentation? What self-talk was going on in your head? Remember, if you can, the feeling of confidence real or imagined, that you had.

See yourself as clearly as possible in this state standing, confident, and strong. Focus as much as possible on every aspect of your being: the look of you, what you hear, smell, what you might see, as he had decided to stand, how your heart beat, and your facial expression. Briefly focus on everything that has contributed to peak performance. Feel these feelings always be marked on your mind, so you can return whenever you want. In this way, you will be able to describe all the things in the past have contributed to a feeling of "King of the world" trust.

Now make the white screen, and let another scene on the screen. The film is no longer historic. Now is projected forward into a future event that speaks one that has not yet happened. You are going to be a key speaker at this future event. Once again tap those same feelings and sensations you have remembered the event of real or imagined past. What has been done to perfection, strongly, with confidence! We know for sure that everything will work wonderfully again for you if in the future, as it did in the past. Do you feel safe, in control, a complete personality dominant.

While continuing to watch the movie the future, you see there on the platform in a state of complete concentration. Are you believe totally in the present. This state can be seen is giving you everything you want: the public reaction very smooth delivery, commanding voice, genuine laughter and even applause. Identify any important result that you want from your presentation. See each of these results actually happening in your imagination. See each of your own desirable features actually happening in front of you.

Step 3

Need to increase regularly. Humans learn by doing things over and over again. Then repeat this mental exercise at least once a day. I make my first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Success leaves clues. I tend to copy what other successful people do. They practice over and over again. And 'in all the books and writing autobiographies. Sportsmen and women in particular, constantly mentally. When we get lazy about it, they lose. To win, you need to reinforce and practice regularly.

In the latter part of this series will take you through internal environmental practices ....
