Buyer Beware - Web Design

Web design is not always a good idea for several reasons. Especially because the models often their needs exactly, and customers often end up spending more time and money in the long run tweaking the design to fit the content. It 's like trying to fill a large man in a suit of small size. Fusionbox always prefers to design around the content rather than trying to adapt the content in a design has been established. Here are some more reasons for not using a template:

1. Code - Your company should use the web search engine friendly code. Many models of web designers do not. Be especially aware of models created entirely in Flash. Search engines can not spider Flash content sites so if you go this route, you will inevitably poor results of the search engines.

2. Browser Compatibility - The model you buy can not display the same in different browsers and on different platforms.

3. W3C Compliance - The W3C sets standards for how web pages are codes, follow these standards, many designers and developers do not. This also means that your site will be accessible to multiple users and international users. http://www.w3c.org

4. Look and Feel - It 's important to really understand your goals and objectives, target audience, and how you want your target to act on your site. We build to all these concepts so that if your goal is to sell more advertising space, the user is presented with a call to action to buy the space in front and center on your site. We also look at eye level mapping of data that shows where people usually look first to the web to include important information.

5. Usability - It 's important to follow the best practices of web where certain items should be placed. (The logo must always be presented to the top left side). Many web templates do not follow these important conventions.

6. Navigation - The navigation models rarely meet your real needs in new ways, you need to redesign that part of the model. (That is to say nothing of the usability issues that many of these drawings based on usage patterns.)

You'll want to be very careful when considering a web template. Ensure that the selected model meets all the criteria above. You may just end up saving quite a lot 'of time and money ....
