A Beginner's Guide to eBay auctions

eBay is the perfect place to sell (and buy) goods. eBay has different rules for the sale for you to choose from. All lists will be charged a listing fee. Some of the options are as follows:

Regular auction:
This is just like an auction normal elsewhere, you list your item, minimum bid on the start list and the race starts at that price, you get bids, and the highest bid wins. Additionally you can insert into a reserve price (lowest price you accept for your item) bidding continues until the reserve price or higher is reached, or until time runs out.You list have a choice of what time you want to have the item listed, 3,5,7 or 10 days.

Auction Buy It Now:
This is like an item in a retail store, you list your item (s) indicating how many you have available for a fixed price, no offers. Buyers can order by indicating how many would like to purchase, send payment and ship the product (s) to sell your power continues until it is gone. Item (s) may be listed, 3,5,7 or 10 days.

Combination Bid / Buy it Now:
This is as the name indicates both the supply and / or buy it now. You can set a buy now auction along with a downward normal. Buyers can bid as normal as auction or buy it at a fixed price without bidding. Item (s) may be listed, 3,5,7 or 10 days. All items sold will be subject to a sales commission based on the final sale price, the pay program is available on eBay.

It should also be aware that there are some elements that can not be sold on eBay. Of course, nothing illegal, no drugs, firearms and other items. You can find a list of all prohibited items on the site.

One thing to remember before you begin, you need to do a little research into what sells and for how much. Selling on eBay is easy, making money is a bit 'harder. After finding out what is selling you have to find a place to buy these items at a price low enough to allow you to sell for a profit. We are wholesale supply points that allow you to purchase merchandise from small quanitites a minimum of a single element. Some places known as "dropshippers" will allow you to buy items after they are sold on eBay and ship it directly to your customer, therby eliminating the need for you to do any of the merchandise management. They usually charge a minimum fee for this service. This should give you a little insight in the marketing eBay. If you decide to go this route, I wish you much success .......
