Are you simple SEO techniques to improve your ranking on search engines

There are some very simple SEO techniques available for you to improve your ranking on search engines. In the normal course of my analysis of competing web sites, I found an incredible number that does not employ all these techniques, but each can help you get closer to that coveted # 1 position.

The use of these by itself would not have let you reach the first position for the keyword, but definitely help, and there is no single factor that will allow you to hit the top. A # 1 position on Google is obtained by a combination of many factors, such as internal and external linking strategies, the relevance of content to the word and the look and feel of your site. Furthermore, those indicated below.

So let's start with these: these are the nuts and bolts of SEO, and if not right then you start with your back foot. These are the basic SEO techniques that must have a minimum if you want to improve your ranking on search engines, and although designed primarily for beginners, many established Web pages do not contain any of these.

I write 'pages' deliberately, because Google and other major search engines list web pages, domains and not entire. This means that every single page of your website should be optimized in the same way: everyone should read each of the SEO techniques listed below.

TAG TITLE

The title tag is contained within the 'head' of your HTML tags, before the "body" tag. This states the title of the page, and must contain the main keywords of the page. The content of the title tag does not appear in the page text: its purpose is to inform the spiders of search engines what the topic of the page, and what words are important (ie the main keyword of the page) . For example, the TITLE tag of a page based on this article would be "SEO Techniques - Improve ranking on search engines."

DESCRIPTION TAG

The meta description tag is used by Google and other search engines, lists of search engines. I have tested this with all and Google uses as is, while Yahoo uses a part of it. You must provide a description of what the website is about, and a simple check of the descriptions in other sites using the keyword on Google will show you how many words you can use for all the description included. About 20 words are fine.

KEYWORD TAG

Search engines rarely use the Meta keyword tags: Google ignores completely. However, it does not hurt, and can help in a small way. Include your name and your brand name. In this way, some engines may show your pages if someone is looking for your name. The other Meta tags have no SEO value, and do not help you improve your ranking on any search engine.

HEADING TAGS H

Header tags (H1, H2, ...) are used by Google to determine the importance of text in your headings. Use H1 tags for the main title of the page (even use it in the title tag, but that is not seen by the readers, only the spiders). Put in H2 tags for subtitles. You can change the font size of text within those tags.

FORMATTING TEXT

The text in bold, italic and underlined by the search engines are seen as having more weight, and so will be used to determine the relevance of your site. Always Bolden titles, and also helps to emphasize that if it does not seem out of place.

Writing style and CONTENT

Do not write for the algorithms (spiders): write for your readers. Always write for the man and not go wrong. If the content of the page reads well and has good vocabulary related to the topic, then it will have a better chance of a rate higher than that stuffed it full of keywords. I rarely use more than 1.5% - the keyword density of 'SEO' s terms, SEO techniques' and 'ranking on search engines' (main keywords) of this Article, are 1.5, 0, 87 and 0.87 respectively. Too many keywords SEO is bad, and could lead to a poor list to your page - if it is listed at all.

So there you are: six simple SEO techniques to improve your ranking on search engines. It 's amazing how many experienced webmasters are not able to apply this principle: there are no excuses, and they can not get the nuts and bolts properly fitted and tightened on their web pages.

Apply to every page, not only to improve your SEO, but also your chances of a good search engine positioning. It 's amazing how many websites lack these basic SEO techniques....
