Manila City
Manizales is the capital of the department of Caldas. It is a city in central Colombia, located in the Cordillera Central, near the Nevado del Ruiz. It is part of the country and the region called called Golden Triangle, with a population of approximately 386,931 inhabitants according to official population projections for 2009. Part along with Risaralda, Quindio, the North Valley and southwestern Antioquia Colombia's called Coffee.
Today is a city with great economic, industrial, cultural and tourism. Also notable for its cultural activity that highlights its annual Fair, the International Theater Festival and numerous shows and conventions.
Manizales is called the "City of Doors Open." Also known as "Manizales del Alma" due to a bullfighting pasodoble that bears his name.

Between Manizales and Medellin is 180 km and between Manizales and Cali is 384 km. It is also connected to neighboring capitals of Pereira and Armenia through the Highway Café.

There are also galleries, among which are: the Gallery of Fine Arts, the Bank of the Republic, the Coffee Cultural Fund, the Museum of Art Caldas Confamiliares, Institute of Culture and Expoferias.La Caldas Manizales architecture integrates influences from different eras, creating a very particular style, not only in their formal expression, but also in the use of local materials like bamboo and wood, which conform to the difficult topography and seismicity of the region. As a consequence, also called republican architecture is born (the name taken neoclassical forms of domestic architecture).
The architecture stands the Cathedral Basilica, made in iron and concrete, leaving the tradition of his time wooden church. The Cathedral Basilica is neo-Gothic style on the outside and has a dome-style frames (shoulder). This cathedral is under the patronage of Our Lady of the Rosary.
