Advantages of Web 2.0

What is web 2.0

One possible definition of web 2.0 would be: "We say that a website is a web 2.0 when that page behaves like an application that could be installed on our team." At least I think so.

That is, this site makes things, in response to our actions, giving similar functionality to a program that could give us. For example, a website that would write our documents, save them, edit them, export them to different formats, etc ... would be a web 2.0

Key Benefits

The advantages are obvious. But the main thing is that we can access our files and programs from any PC connected to internet.

Instant Messaging

One of the clearest examples of web 2.0 is the instant messaging. I used to have the problem that on the same day he had worked on several computers. And of course, I kept the logs IM conversations, but on the PC that was at that time. And in the end needed 7 programs to manage each type of instant messaging program. However, there are many websites that offer this service in a splendid. Notably Meebo.

Photo Editor

Another application that to me is very useful Slashup. A website that allows you to edit your images as if the almighty Photoshop, with layers and all. Awesome.

Of course everyone has their favorite web applications, and I have told these are mine.
