Throughout history, many cultures have left evidence of stick-and-ball games that are now considered distant ancestors to modern golf and many other sports, but the origin of modern golf is often discussed today. Many believe that the Scottish can be credited with the only thing that sets golf apart from many other stick-and-ball games - the hole!

At Saint Andrews in Scotland, the first golf course was created known as early as 15 th century. It featured only 11 holes, golfers would play until the end of the property and then turn around and play them back for a total of 22 holes. The 18-hole course used today reportedly born in 1764 after the course of Saint Andrews was reduced to 9 holes.

Mary, Queen of Scots may have been the first woman to play golf, it was during his reign over St. Andrews was built and it is said of Mary used to call his assistants "cadets" inspired the term "caddy".

According to Golf Digest, nearly 32,000 golf courses were in operation in 2005, more prominent in the English-speaking countries. Scotland, New Zealand and Australia have been calculated for the largest number of courses in relation to their population, but nearly half of the courses that have been recorded in America.

Talented and professional golfers competing in the tournament come from all walks of life, there are no age limits, race or sex, contrary to the old acronym "Gentlemen Only, Ladies forbidden". Like Mary "Queen of Scots" Stuart, women around the world have taken to playing golf as a profession, as a hobby, and for fitness.

The sport of golf has been often used in business as a tool to test a new employee or prospective business partner, the chance to know them and also to see if the person is able to handle stress and relax. It 'an opportunity for a person to impress their new employer or connected future, not only by the skill with which to play, but also by their costumes. Some universities also offer golf lessons for students in areas related business.

Playing golf can be a great resource for any woman, for business, pleasure or health. Since 1811, with the creation of Musselburgh Golf Club in Scotland, many local clubs, national and international women golfers were founded all over the world, women drawing together in friendly competition and camaraderie. The popularity of women's golf can only continue to grow with the advent of many successful female golfers to inspire and encourage a world of women and young women alike ....
